West Tamar North Uniting Church

We meet on Sundays between 10:00 and 11:30

About us

West Tamar North Congregation (Beaconsfield and Beauty Point), part of the West Tamar Parish along with the West Tamar South Congregation (Exeter-Legana).

Although small, we endeavour to be a faithful witness in our communities, seeking to enable connections that enhance community. We celebrate diversity and welcome everyone, exactly as they are.

Our Parish has not had a Minister in Placement for 30 years, relying instead on local leadership, with support from the Presbytery of Tasmania.

Sunday services alternate between Beauty Point and Beaconsfield (with a Parish Service on the 5th Sunday of the month).

With licensed lay leaders and retired ministers Baptism and Communion Services are always available. (Communion is celebrated on a monthly basis.)

Weddings and funerals are offered as required. (We operate under the Uniting Church definition of marriage as being between two people, regardless of gender).

Rotary Tasmania is celebrating its centenary with the installation of 100 Peace Poles around the State. On February 10, 2024 the 29th pole was unveiled at Beauty Point Church. Pictured are BPUC Chairperson Peter Grayson-Weeks, Rotary Club of West Tamar President (and member of BPUC Executive) Kathryn Darlow, and State MP for Bass Janie Finlay.
